I have been very privileged this past year to work with a collection of vintage laces to create a unique wedding dress for the very talented textile designer, Charlotte Allen.
Charlotte’s vision for her wedding dress was personal, unusual and beautiful. Together we were able to design the dress of her imaginings using both antique and modern fabrics. The finished gown was a balance between delicate grace and the nature inspired drama of the Romantics.
Couturemango Bridal is the home of unique, custom made wedding dresses and veils and as such I welcome the opportunity to work with vintage elements of sentimental importance or unconventional fabrics. It was such a privilege making Charlotte’s dress, combining old and new, hand stitching and modern machine finishes to create a dress that spoke so clearly of the beauty and creativity of the bride herself.
